Gameboy Advance

I've decided that I really want a Nintendo Gameboy Advance.

They look really cool, they'll play all Gameboy and Gameboy Color games, as well as new games, and they're relatively inexpensive, all things considered, at $99. (As I recall, that's the price the original Gameboy went for).

Especially since they've released some of their cool older games for Gameboy Color, if they continue doing that. . . I would love if they released Final Fantasy 1 for Gameboy Advance, or some of the other games I used to love.

Final Fantasy. . .

I still remember when I got that game. It was a Christmas present from my parents, just a couple months after it was released. I'd never heard of it, but I loved Role Play Games, so I figured I'd enjoy it.

The first few minutes were awesome. The game was just sweet. But, then I couldn't get anywhere. Every battle was drawn out forever, and I had way too much trouble defeating even simple enemies. Because of that, I couldn't get anywhere, and didn't know where to go.

So, I shelved it to play the other game I got for Christmas, Crystalis. Chrystalis kicked much booty, and was much enjoyed for the next week or so. Unfortunately, then I beat it. ;-)

So, having nothing else to do, I went back to Final Fantasy. This time, I decided to actually read the instructions, and I immediately noticed something. . . when I'd played before, I hadn't actually equipped any weapons or armor. ;-p

I'd assumed I had, but I hadn't. So, this time I equipped my characters, and then I really got into it.

A year or two later, when me and a friend of mine were really bored, we beat the game around 70 times in an attempt to discover the best combination of characters to beat it with. ;-)

God I miss that game. I think I need to install an emulator and find it.

Re: Final Fantasy. . .

That's a good idea. . . I've always wanted to play some of the FF's that weren't released in the US. I'm gonna have to look into those soon. ;-)
