The headliner of the show was SR-71, with special guests Dexter Freebish.
Prior to the show, I was prolly more looking forward to Dexter Freebish, as I'm more familiar with them, and because my roommate saw them a month or two ago, and really enjoyed it. However, as good as they were (and they were good), I thought SR-71 was better. They're a little harder edged and more rocking than I'd expected (I was only really familiar with one of their songs). I was impressed.
I'm prolly gonna be buying both Band's albums soon.
It looks like both bands are gonna be touring together for a while, so if they come near you, I'd strongly suggest checking 'em out.
In other good news, I found out at the concert that Eve 6 is gonna be here in a few weeks, and the other big news, announced at last night's show, is that the Mighty Mighty Bosstones are gonna be here in a month. Now that is a show I really wanna catch.
There's also some New York Ska band called The Toasters coming in a week that I might check out. I've never heard of them myself (Admittedly, I'm fairly new to Ska), but most Ska bands are entertaining to listen to live, at the least. ;-)
This is turning into a concert-filled month for me. ;-)
