I came across an amusing article a few days ago, put out by Scientific American that's called Top Sci/TechGifts 2003: 25 great holiday gifts for science lovers of all ages (read: Geek Gifts).

It includes things like Pyrex Beaker mugs, a chocolate brain, a mensa quiz game, and gifts made from recycled circuit boards. I particularly like the EcoSpheres.

You know, in a lot of ways, Thanksgiving is about my favorite holiday. It's such a simple and pure holidy. There's not all that much commercialization (at least compared to other major holidays), there's no ulterior motives, there's no religious overtones, there's no distractions.

There's just a day who's sole purpose is to enjoy what you have (be thankful), to spend time with family, to watch football, and to totally stuff yourself with great food (and if you slip in some video game time, it just makes a good thing even better;-).

So, I hope everyone is having a happy Thanksgiving. And if you're not stuffed silly, you're not doing it right!
