I saw Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring, yesterday.

Was it perfect? No. Was it damn good? Yes.

Despite the fact that Peter Jackson (director) made some changes to the story, I still have to give him props for sticking to it as closely as he did. It's closer than almost every other book -> movie translation I've seen.

I've been sick for most of the past week. The first couple of days, I was just coughing a lot, but the past two days I've had this horrible headache. I feel like my head is being squeezed in a clamp, and every time I cough, it feels like someone is tightening the clamp. As if that isn't bad enough, just before bed last night, I felt nauseous, too. I sort of half-vomited at one point, and then spent the next half hour laying on the couch trying to convince myself I wasn't going to vomit anymore.

Ugh.

Can we say not a fun way to spend finals week? (Did I mention that they're scheduling me for roughly double what I asked for at work? That's loads of fun, too.)
