Getting an UPS.

For those of you who aren't computer geeks, UPS == Uninterruptible Power Supply. Basically, it's a back-up battery that you plug your computer into. If the power goes out, then the battery kicks in and takes over until power is restored (or until the computer can be shutdown without risking data loss).

I've been wanting one for quite some time, but they can be expensive. Luckily, I just came across this DealNews article which includes a coupon code that will get you 50% off pretty much anything on Belkin's website.

So, I think I'm going to get the Universal UPS 1000VA. Retail price, $139.99. After the coupon code, $70.00.
