LotR: RotK, and Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow.

I saw LotR: RotK this afternoon. Much like the first two, it was an imperfect[1], but very good movie. Having now seen the whole trilogy, I've come to the conclusion that Sean Astin kicks butt. Out of every character in the LotR movies, his portrayal of Samwise comes the closest to the mental image I had for the character. His appearance, attitude, actions, speech, everything, just fit perfect.

Also interesting, was a trailer that was shown before the movie. It was for an in-production movie called, 'Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow". Watching it felt like you were getting sucked into a 1930's comic book. A friend of mine thought it looked silly, but i Have to say, I thought it looked really neat. I'm looking forward to seeing how it comes out.

[1] Having read the books, I don't think there's any way the movie could be "perfect". There were a few minor issues I had with it, but that by no means takes anything away from this being a truly outstanding and great movie.
