Whew.

I think I just replied to over a dozen comments. ;-)

Also making use of some new groups I set up, to help me manage my friends list. I've now set up a "Default View" which excludes some of the noisier communities so I don't have to deal with them when I'm short on time. I then created a "Full" group that includes everything, so I can see it when I want to. ;-)

I've also created a few other groups, such as "SorceryNet" and "communities" to ease in tracking both of those.

Re: AAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here's a question: do you know if Brad ever set up a -viewing- version of that? In other words, if I want my friends-only posts to be readable by a subset of my friends list on a consistent basis, is it possible to set up a "default read" list or something?

Re: AAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!

Depending on which client you use, you can use friends groups to set who is allowed to view a certain post.

I know that Brad/Vision's Win32 client supports it, but I think it might be the only one that does, right now. Support for that in LogJam/LoserJabber would kick much booty, though. ;-)

Re: AAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!

Logjam supports it too, in the version in cvs (which I recently installed).

My question was if it was possible to change the default list of people that'd be able to view a friends post - so I could use any client, set it to a "friends-only" post but actually not give everyone on my friends-list access.

I know about friend groups. How do you think I set the default view group? :)
